Not that this is a big surprise for anyone (Flash 8, being announced on the 8th day of the 8th month!), but Macromedia has announced Flash 8.

It will be a while until the new Flash player has widespread adoption, but my guess is that within a year we’ll see a large new crop of advergames coming out in Flash 8.
